Scam Alert from KPD

Cheshire Medical Center has notified Keene Police Department that scam calls are being made to community members from a caller ID that says ‘Cheshire Medical.’ These scammers are stating that the hospital has referred them to contact the patient. The caller will attempt to sell the victim a product – whether it be medical supplies or a ‘Life Alert.’
Cheshire Medical will not provide patient information to any other agency without first speaking with the patient. If a community member receives a call for devices or services that they were not notified about by their physician, then no information should be provided to the caller.
A recent call showed a caller ID of ‘Cheshire Medical’ and the phone number (603)354-5409, just one digit off from their real number.
